It’s eleven I think… Eleven… If I repeat it more than eleven times it starts sounding like elven… Maybe that’s what it really is. An elven time. A time for elder elves. A time for that green little elf to wear his human suit and enter the human world.

He steps into the night. Eleven hours and eleven minutes. Eleven footsteps, that’s all it takes and he’s out of the door. Eleven steps and down the stairs. He’s out. Out and into the night. (more…)

It seemed that the circuits where burned, the cables where eaten by mice and the hardware was lost in dust and dirt. The old man was just standing there. In front of the open door. A half ghastly, half ridiculous figure. Tall and dark, as the light was behind him and darkness covered the inside of the old shop. He reached in his pocket and pulled out a tiny, ring-like device. He lifted his hands and looked at them. They were both filled with rings of various shapes and sizes. He removed one from his right hand index finger and replaced it with the one from his pocket. He proceeded to lift his whole arm higher, and turned his palm from the outer side towards the room. He then blinked and a strange and beautiful pale blue light filled the place, all around. He turned slowly, with his hand still in the air. First to the left, then all the way to the right. “I suppose I shall never get another chance to visit this old dump”, he thought to himself. “They’ll soon demolish it, to make another virtual beach”. He sighed. He turned around and started walking down the road. He caressed the ring on his right index finger. “At least I have here, the pictures of my first internet cafe…”
