Audtributes I

In this new album I take a whole new approach to music composition, more electroacoustic. First of all, for the very first time I’m using Ableton Live instead of Cubase. The process of creating the music pieces has been also very fun for me, combining what I’m learning in my University courses about Sound Design and Programing. Most sounds have been either completely created by me (recorded, manipulated, transformed) or they have been samples from virtual synths I also played around with to turn them into something different.

The mood of this new album is still Ambient, but this time quite Experimental. The title “Audtributes I” firstly suggests that it is a first creation of a series I intend to continue producing. Secondly it is a word-game between the words attributes, audio and tributes, describing the process of creation and my intention. It’s a game withing the attributes of sound, and small tributes to the magnificent gift of Sound. I am hoping you will enjoy listening to it, as much as I did creating it. Each listening attempt might give you a new perspective of sonic qualities, as you will be discovering things you didn’t hear in the previous play.

The names of the songs are all taken from the Greek Mythology.

I recently had the pleasure of the acquaintance with a great electronic music artist and podcast radio host from Spain, Jorge Sergio. A couple of my songs from “Streams” album, “Silent Talk” and “Cloudtears” are currently featured in his latest podcast at Articmist. Jorge has been transmitting his podcast since 2006 featuring lots of superb artists in many different genres and from all over the world. I really enjoy listening to his podcasts both for the beautiful music it features as well as for helping me practice my Spanish :P .

Take a listen to Jorge Sergio’s music at his myspace or soundclick page.

Merry Christmas from Eliethel

So here it is, once again… This special time of year. The holiday, the celebration. Everything dressed in beautiful lights and glowing colors. A time to take a break, from the daily endeavors and struggles, to breathe. Leaving behind our worries, even for just a minute… A time to recapture our faith in miracles, to regain our strength and… redream! At this time, I’m sending you my best wishes, for health, for inner power, for wisdom, for courage to go on. I’ll seal this wish with a song. My own rendition of a more gloomy Silent Night (in minor), dancing away with Silent Talk, the song that has found its way into many people’s hearts this year. You can watch the video from YouTube or download the mp3 from ReverbNation.

Merry Christmas,

Eliethel

My songs have gone live on Jango! They already received enough votes to qualify for general rotation. A huge thank you to all of you who voted for me!

Check out this cool online radio station (my personal favorite). What’s so cool about it, is that you have total control on what is played or not, simply because you build the stations you listen to. The process is really simple. Once you get to the main page you simply enter the name of your favorite artist and click play. Then you need to sign up for free to start building your radio station(s) with any artist of your choice. The stations play randomly, adding artists that sound alike the ones you’ ve picked. You then have the choice to rate each song by clicking on the little faces, and thus include the song or not on your station’s rotation.

Another cool fact about this station is that it’s a great tool for discovering new music and you can help emerging artists (like myself :) ) get more exposure. Total control over what the radio plays or not, plus new music discovery, plus actively helping new artists, what else could a music lover want? (Yes, I have my own user account and I just love creating radio stations :P ).

Hope I’ll see you on Jango soon! Have fun and enjoy good music!

And off to write more music!
