About
A little bit about me
Born and raised in Thessaloniki, Greece, I began exploring the world of music around the age of 3, using a small red plastic toy piano. By the age of 4 I started taking piano lessons. The piano became my main compositional tool, which I use up till now, occasionally switching it for the electric guitar. I produce my songs on my own, spending most of my evenings in the embrace of my home studio, fighting cables and strings, struggling with DAWs and plug-ins, creating sounds for the indulgence of the ears. My classical and Jazz background are often clearly noticed in my songs, though it is electronic music that has captured my spirit. It is Depeche Mode’ and the Cure’, whose music I would take to a deserted island, but I have to admit that my influences are much more diverse. I try to balance my time between studying composition at University, having a personal life, establishing myself online and of course writing more music.
I believe in Diversity and Pluralism
My musical interests are very broad and diverse, varying from electronic to classical, from metal to reggae and from jazz to traditional. I have performed and composed for various local rock and metal bands. I am interested in composing for video games and the performing arts (having also a background occupation with dancing) and have worked with modern dancing choreographers.
Writing and the whole new world of blogging
I have always enjoyed writing, almost as much as composing. I write my own lyrics as well as poetry. Short stories was the next step, an aspect that has been nagging to get out of me for years. Only recently I started blogging, in which I found the way to express what cannot be expressed clearly with musical notes and sounds.
